walkograph · Privacy policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

walkograph draws the walks you record. Your walks stay on your iPhone. We never see them.

Contact. Questions about privacy: rekafellow.co@outlook.com.

Your walks and your location. walkograph uses your location while you are recording a walk, to draw its path, and to show where you are on the map or when you tap Go to my location. Walks, their paths and their times are stored on your iPhone and are never sent to us. Where you are is not kept when you are not recording.

Health. If you allow it, walkograph reads your walking, hiking and running workouts, their routes, and your step counts from Apple Health, to paint past walks onto your trail and show steps for a finished walk. Health data is read on your iPhone, stored there, and never sent to us or anyone else. It is never used for advertising. walkograph does not write to Health.

Motion. walkograph uses motion data on your iPhone to notice when you get into a vehicle, so a walk ends where you stopped walking. It is not stored or sent anywhere.

Sharing. Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you share it. When you share a walk card or a replay video, you choose where it goes. Cards and videos leave off the first and last 100 metres of every walk, so they don't draw a line to your door. The rest of a walk can still show the area you walk in, so share with care.

Widgets and Live Activities. The Trail widget and the Live Activity are drawn on your iPhone from your walks. The widget hides your walks while your iPhone is locked.

Anonymous usage statistics. To learn which features are used and whether recording works, the app sends anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck. A signal is the name of something that happened, such as "walk finished" or "chose a look", with at most a coarse band like "2–5 km" or "10–30 min" or the look you picked. TelemetryDeck adds technical details to each signal: the app and iOS version, the type of device and its screen size, your language, region and time zone, whether your iPhone is in light or dark mode, and how much the app is used (how many sessions, how long they last on average, and on how many days). Each install gets a random identifier that is anonymized on your iPhone. It cannot be traced back to you, and it is not shared with other apps. Signals never include a place, a path, an exact distance or time, your name, or your Companion's name. TelemetryDeck GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, processes the signals in Europe and does not store IP addresses.

Purchases. walkograph has nothing to buy today. If paid features arrive, purchases will be handled by Apple, and we will never see your payment details.

What we don't do. No account. No advertising. No tracking across apps or websites. We never sell or rent data.

Deleting your data. Your walks live only in the app on your iPhone. Delete the app to erase all of them. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, your walks are included in that backup, in your own account, where we can't see them; an older backup can still hold them until it is replaced. Usage signals can't be tied to you, so there is nothing of yours for us to find or delete.

Children. walkograph is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date.
